Taping and Wrapping
Fingers:
There are two basic ways to tape a finger and they are called the Buddy finger and the Splint
Buddy finger
Take the injured finger and pair it up with another finger. Apply two supporting strips above and below the joint around both fingers.
*Note: always pair the ring finger with little finger and the index finger with the middle finger.
For a visual showing of the buddy finger. The video below will help. Skip to 1:47 to see it.
The Splint
It is simple as well but it only uses one finger. Take the injured finger and put something under it to support it. Apply two supporting strips above and below the joint. The second video will help you see it better.
It a little difficult to explain the wrapping and taping of other joints without viewer getting confused. However, the button below will lead you to another website that does explain very well. It also has pictures to visually see it.
